The Northern Seniors Championship took place recently at Headingley Golf Club. Single figure golfers from the six northern counties competed over 3 days to win the coverted trophies.
A wet and windy qualifying day saw a number of Lancashire players qualify for either flight one or flight two of the match play stages. Sarah Pownell, Fairfield GC had a fabulous few days and reached the semi final of the main flight, losing closely to Helen Robson. Clare Seddon reached the final of flight 2 and won on the 18th beating Marianne Moore.
As always Lancashire represented themselves so well both on and off the course. As a county we are so well respected and that is something we should all be so proud of. Well done to all who took part.
