Welcome to Lancashire County Senior Ladies' Golf Association

Message from our Captain Carmel Hall

I am truly honoured to be invited to take up the role of the LCSLGA Captain for 2022 and I sincerely thank the past captains for placing their trust in me.

Thanks to Fiona for her leadership and direction provided during a very difficult year with Covid and lockdowns and despite these issues, all events went ahead, along with the Championship and Richardson Trophy matches.

I look forward to playing my part in leading the LCSLGA throughout 2022. I hope that Covid does not impact too much and that all our events can proceed as normal. We have some great courses lined up and I look forward to meeting as many members as possible during the year.

The Championship and Silver Meeting will take place between 4th-6th May at the Hesketh Golf Club and I hope to welcome a full field to this event. The Richardson Trophy is a key event for our team and is always a challenge and I'm sure we will give our best endeavours to try to win the Trophy in 2022. Our away matches will be at Northumberland and Durham and we will welcome Cumbria, Yorkshire and Cheshire to Hesketh Golf Club.

We are pleased there will be another major Seniors’ competition in the North. The Mere Golf and Country club have kindly agreed to hold the Brenda King Foursomes in 2022. Practice day is Sunday July 24th and the competition itself is Monday 25th and Tuesday 26th of July.

The LCSLGA has a wonderful spirit of friendship, inclusion, competitiveness, support and fun and I will try my best to fulfil these values in all the LCSLGA events and meetings throughout 2022.

All that remains is for me to wish you all a very safe and merry Christmas.

Carmel Hall
